Beaver encourages pretty classmate Betsy Carter's crush on him to get her to help him write his autobiography for a school assignment; but when Betsy finds out that Beaver has been calling her names behind her back, her assistance turns to sabotage.
Mr. Thompson assigns Beaver's class to write a three page autobiography with no embellishments. Beaver is having a difficult time with this assignment, only being able to write two pages worth. Gilbert encourages Beaver to get some help in the form of Betsy Carter, a relatively new girl to their class. While Betsy obviously has a crush on Beaver, Beaver, like most of the other boys in their class, calls her names, he doing so only behind her back. But the scuttlebutt is that Betsy is an A student in anything related to writing, and thus could probably fill out that third page for Beaver. So Beaver decides to "be nice" to Betsy so that she'll help him with the assignment. She does agree, even volunteering to type it up for him. While Wally warns Beaver that Betsy's take on his life may be too girly, Beaver has other things to worry about as Betsy finds out what Beaver really thinks of her without his knowledge. The question becomes how Beaver will deal with the actions of a girl scorned.
